Goalie: Protects the 6x6 goal from the opposing teams attack. A goalie stick will have a large head attached to the end, allowing for easier protection. Goalies will wear additional padding from all the other positions including- neck guard, and thicker chest pads (shin/leg guards are allowed).
Attack: The offense of a team. Attempts to score by shooting the lacrosse ball into the opposing teams goal. An attack man will have a short, lightweight stick.
Defense: Attempts to stop the opposing teams attack from scoring. A defender will be equipped with a 6 foot long stick, to allow for easier defense. It is unnecessary for a defense man to be heavily padded because he will not be getting hit hard but instead will be delivering devastating checks the the attack. Being overly padded could affect ones performance while playing defense.

Middie: Plays both offensive and defensive roles. A regular middie will have a short stick, the same as attack, allowing them to be versatile. They should be padded at a medium level because they will be playing both offense and defense.
